pouf!  engages with the existing purpose and present-day users – both animal and human - of Griffintown’s Parc Gallery . In exchange for stories, historical facts and memories of Parc Gallery, Artists Cynthia Hammond and Thomas Strickland  compile a composite image of this public, green space by photographing the dogs and using their portraits (taken in the autumn of 2010) to make a public exhibition on the perimeter of the park, affixing the portraits to the chain link border that both delineates this space for dogs and acts as a link to the park’s activist history. Through the project, Dog Parc Gallery, pouf! intensifies and makes visible the importance of this place within the cultural landscape of Griffintown.

Dates and details for the public exhibition of Dog Parc Gallery will be announced shortly. Please see UOUs calendar of events for details.
